Here there are ten federal holiday in 2017 that you can see, meaning that All branch of US closed on these federal holiday. On these holiday, USPS doesn’t provide any mail and package. You can see here, two most important federal holidays, New Year’s Day and Veterans Day because New Year’s Day is falling on Sunday and Veterans Day is falling on Saturday and according to the rule. * because New Year’s Day is falling on Sunday, and Veterans’ Day is falling on Saturday and according to the rule, if any federal holiday falls on Saturday, then it is observed on Preceding Friday, and if falls on Sunday, then it is observed on following Monday.

January 1, New Year’s Day:  On New Year days, US postal doesn’t provide any services. All members celebrated this federal holiday. So on New Year day, you won’t be able receive any mail.

January 18, martin Luther King Birthday:  USPS celebrates this day as a birthday of Martin Luther. It celebrated third Monday of January every year but king was born on January 15. The reason behind the celebrated birthday of Martin Luther third Monday every January year is Uniform Monday holiday Act

February 15, Washington’s Birthday:  This holiday is celebrated as the birthday of first president of United States, George Washington. George Washington was born on 22 February, 1732 but US’s people celebrates George Washington birthday on third Monday of February.

Monday 29, Memorial Day: US Postal service doesn’t provide any service on Memorial Day. Memorial Day is celebrated as every year on 29th may. It is almost observed on Monday. It is celebrates as the memory for that people who died while serving in the country’s armed force. It is federal holiday in United States. It found that it comes on the last Monday of May every year. On this day, People of US visit memorials and cemeteries to honour those people who died in military services. There the flag remains only until noon. So, there is no need to search for the Post office holidays because all the post offices will be closed on this day.

July 4, Independence Day:  Independence Day in United States celebrates on 4th July. In 1776, Continental congress declared Independence Day on 4th July, since then independence celebrated on 4th July every year in United States. This day is very special for US citizen. On this day Post office will be closed on July 4, and no standard mail delivery is placed. This holiday is regarded as one of the best day in the list of postal holidays.

September 4 – Labour Day:  4 September is celebrated as Labour Day in United States in every year. It is considered as a federal holiday in the U.S and celebrated on the first Monday of September every year. It is celebrated in honour of the American labour movement and the workers’ contribution to the laws, prosperity, strength, and well-being of the country. It means that mail doesn’t run on Labour Day.

October 10 – Columbus Day: Columbus Day celebrated in United States on 10 October every year. US Postal service closed Columbus Day. This Day is celebrated as the anniversary of Christopher Columbus, that discovered by Americans on 12th October, 1492. It is observed on the second Monday of October. USPS doesn’t provide any Standard mail on this holiday.

November 11, Veterans Day: Veterans Day celebrated on 11 November every year in United States. It is an official holiday in United States. On this Day US Postal service doesn’t provide any services. It is celebrated in honour of the Military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. . It was observed as Armistice Day previously, but in 1954, it was renamed as Veterans Day. November 24, Thanksgiving Day:  Thanksgiving Day is celebrated with lot of fervor and merry-making in America. Celebrated on the fourth Thursday in the month of November every year, it is a time for communal thanksgiving, feeling gratitude, lavish feasts. Thanksgiving is a public holiday in both countries Canada and United States. USPS doesn’t provide any service on this holiday. Thanksgiving parades are held on this day. Friends and family members meet for a special meal. People give thanks for everything they have

December 26 Christmas Day:  It is celebrated 26 December in United States in every year. People from all around the world celebrate this day in their own ways. Some people give gifts to each other, in some areas of the world, family and other social gatherings take place
